Moving from .Net world to java world...

Finally moved from SAP to Oracle (Everyone is astonished by this shift, as it was change/movement from one competitor to another competitor). But I am not taking anything from SAP, as I did not learn anything with respect to SAP technologies. Both are enterprise product giants, each having their own strong customer base.

I was working in C# earlier, but I would be working in java (the change I always liked as because of the usage of java in the enterprise world). Many people asked the same question. How were you able to change from C# to java? I too do not have the answer!

About my work in Oracle Corporation,
I would be working as a development guy in the CRM development team for Fusion in a team “Field Services Development”. The work would be on J2EE’s ADF (an application framework developed by Oracle Corporation and available free (not opensource) worldwide, web services and some database stuffs.

Personally, I always dreamed to be in Oracle Corporation oneday! My dreams were shattered during my final year of graduation, as I could not clear the interview process, even though I had a good score in the written test (was 7th in the list of 56 candidates selected in the written test and had a good go… in the interview round too). But I could not make it. It was one of the worst days in my life as far as I could remember! Not bad at all, I made it to the company a year later and that too to a good team.

Enjoying the first few weeks in Oracle Corporation. Hopefully after my initial set of trainings, I should be able to move all.

“Oracle Database” is astonishing, unbelievable and simply the best.
Wishing all the best for myself (to get motivated and enthusiastic). Keep rocking!
